 Be faithful in the face of adversity

 Dear child of God, can you remain faithful in the midst of suffering?

 Let us meet such a person from the Bible.  Father's favorite son.  When he had gone out to feed his brothers, the brothers seized Joseph and threw him into a dungeon.  Joseph was later sold to the Midianite merchants.  The Midianite merchants sold Joseph into slavery to Potiphar.  He was faithful in the house of Potiphar.  Joseph was imprisoned for being faithful to Potiphar's house.  Joseph was faithful even in prison.  Joseph, who had been faithful in the face of adversity for so long, clung to his God.  He clung to God even when he had to deny his God.

 Dear child of God, if you cling to God in adversity, God will bless you.  God will bless you just as he blessed Joseph.  The Bible says, "Humble yourselves under His mighty hand so that he may raise you up in due time. If you humble yourself as Joseph did, the God who raised Joseph will raise you up."  God raised Joseph from prison to be Egypt's prime minister.  Joseph went through many hardships to reach that position.  Dear child of God, there is a God who will honor you if you are faithful like Joseph without questioning or denying God in the sufferings you go through.
