"The Prayer of Jabez" 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10 There were two requests in the prayer of Jabez, who recorded that God was honorable. The first thing he prayed for was that he would surely bless himself and expand his boundaries. Jabez knew that with God's blessing, his boundaries would expand. Second, he knew that his calamity would not have been a cause of sorrow if God's hand had been with him. God answered Jabez's request, convinced that God's blessing would expand the boundaries and that with God's hand, calamity would not be a cause for sorrow.
