O God, you are my God. In the morning I will seek you. David says to his God, "O God, you are my God; I will seek you in the morning." King David of Israel longed for his God. A child of God will be one who seeks his God early. It is the duty of a child of God to seek God who has given him a new day, no matter what the problems. To seek God early in the morning is to give thanks to God who has given us a morning gift that will keep us awake all night and cause no harm or hardship to anyone. Abraham, Jacob, and Joshua were all early seekers of God. If you start the day with a thank you to God for giving you a good day, God will be with you no matter how many adversities come your way. When we do not seek God in the morning, we may wonder if God does not. It is the duty of a devotee to give thanks when God fulfills His duties. Getting up early and seeking God can be a blessing in life.
