Jesus Christ is the only priest in the New Testament church When Jesus Christ took earthly form and became a sacrifice on the cross of Calvary and became the High Priest forever, there is no need for another priest on earth. God has chosen five groups to lead the Christian church. The early church had only pastor, apostle, teacher, prophet and evangelist (Ephesians 4:11).The only priest in the early church was Jesus Christ.
