Christian believer and idolatry

Idolatry is anything that is more important than God. In the New Testament we place more importance on God and many other things than on worshiping idols by others. This is what Jesus Christ said. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to him. All these are our worldly blessings. God will give us worldly blessings. If God is the shepherd, goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Jesus Christ is our Shepherd more than anything else.
